Mike Garza Named All Valley League
Mike Garza has been named to the 2010 All Valley League First Team as the third baseman. A fixture at the top of the league's batting categories, Garza led the league in stolen bases, finished second with a .388 batting average and 4 triples and third in the league with 66 hits. He led the team in hits, batting average, doubles, triples, runs scored, runs batted in, on base and slugging percentage. Mike will attend Georgetown University this fall.
Bandit Season Comes to End
The River Bandit players, ownership and management would like to thank the town of Woodstock for the great support it received this summer. 2010 was a year of transition and the Bandits are looking on building on this year to make 2011 a greater community success.

New Ticket Prices!
The River Bandits have announced new reduced ticket prices for the 2010 season. Single game tickets for seniors are now $3 and students are $1. Get up to 5 games free by purchasing season tickets for $75 until June 1, after June 1 they jump to $85. You can also take advantage of our half season package by purchasing 11 home games for $45. Seniors full season ticket package is $45 and half season $30.

New River Bandit Office
The River Bandits recently announced the opening of the team office and store at their new location in downtown Woodstock. Highlights of the 2009 season
The River Bandits enjoyed their most successful season in the history of the 6-year franchise with a record of 24-22. This record gave the Bandits a top seed in the VBL playoffs. River Bandits also won the I-81 battle with New Market with a 5-3 record. The River Bandits have won the I-81 trophy 4 of the 6 seasons.
The River Bandits advanced to the playoffs 4 of the 6 years. In this years playoffs the River Bandits were eliminated in the first round by Winchester 2-0, losing a heart breaker 2-1 in the final game. All four of the top seeds lost in the first round of the playoffs. #7 Haymarket Senators and the #8 Covington Lumberjacks played for the VBL title with Haymarket winning the VBL for the first time.
Location
The River Bandits are located in Woodstock Va., right in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. The River Bandits will play at the Central High School Baseball complex. The complex is located on Route 42 only three tenths of a mile off of Interstate 81.
